Securing Booking Space
Table of Contents
Our dedicated team works relentlessly to secure space for your cargo on a vessel. However, the timely booking and adherence to the schedule depend on the collaboration of everyone involved in the process. Vessel space may encounter delays due to factors like inclement weather, port congestion, vessel maintenance, and rescheduling by the steamship line.
Quote Approval
For our team to secure space on a vessel, we need the quote approved on the user end. The sooner the quote is approved, the sooner our team can begin the process. Once you approve the quote on our platform, the shipment lifecycle will move to pending status. From here, our team will search to secure space on a vessel.
Shipping Order Issuance
The carrier issues a shipping order (S/O) to confirm a shipment's booking on a vessel.
The S/O will contain the location of the empty container for pickup and may also include booking details such as container number, vessel name and voyage number, estimated time of departure, and estimated time of arrival.
A S/O is typically released 7-10 days before departure. Once our team has confirmed space with the carrier and the S/O is received, your shipment will move to booked status.
